Caladium is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. They are often known by the common name elephant ear, heart of Jesus, and angel wings. There are over 1000 named cultivars of Caladium bicolor from the original South American plant. Caladium Hortulanum is grown entirely for its brightly colored and wildly patterned foliage.
Light: These plants do well in low-to-medium light settings and thrive in bright, indirect light. They do not like exposure to direct sunlight. If you are only able to provide low-to-medium light conditions, you may do better with one of the deeper green cultivars.
